A rare opportunity to see two hugely respected and immensely talented artists who last worked together over ten years ago. Dave Kelly, founder member of the Blues Band and a stalwart of the British Blues Scene, cut his teeth in the backing bands of Howlin Wolf and John Lee Hooker as well as playing with Buddy Guy, Son House & Muddy Waters. Christine Collister came to prominence singing the title song for the BBC drama 'Life & Loves Of A She Devil' before joining the Richard Thompson Band as vocalist and acoustic guitarist, prior to a long term musical partnership with Clive Gregson. The material is drawn from both their musical backgrounds - soul standards, country songs, rock, folk & blues, Stax, Tamla, The Band, Emmylou Harris, The Everly Brothers, Elvis, as well as some great contemporary writers to name but a few. They are joined on this short tour by Pick Withers, founder member of Dire Straits on drums; Peter Filleul of the Climax Blues Band on keyboards; Pete Emery who formed a musical and life partnership with Dave's late sister the great Jo-Anne Kelly, on lead guitar; Gary Fletcher: a founder member of The Blues Band on bass guitar. He will open the evening with a short set of his own songs from his forthcoming solo album.
