The Blockheads

The Blockheads

John Turnbull, Chaz Jankel, Mick Gallagher, Derek the Draw, Mark Snowling, Gilad Atzmon, Dylan Howe, plus very special guest vocalist Phill Jupitus.

First formed in 1977, The Blockheads celebrate 30 years of music-making this year and will be taking to the road up and down the UK to mark their success. The band is probably best remembered for their exuberant front man Ian Dury. Ian sadly passed away in March 2000, but The Blockheads continued to produce music. Some of their better known tracks include 'Hit me with your rhythm stick', 'Sex and drugs and rock and roll', 'What a waste', 'Reasons to be cheerful part 3', 'I want to be straight' , and 'Clever Trevor'.
